Six Drown In Fontenelle Reservoir Boat Capsize
A boating tragedy at Fontenelle Reservoir 35 miles south of Kemmerer left six family members dead. Edward Curry 27 Jolita Curry 22 and her mother Bernette Howerter 43 were recovered with three Currys children still missing. The boat capsized in heavy winds last Saturday and searchers located three bodies Monday. Funeral services for the recovered were held in Swanzy Nebraska.

The Wyoming Junior Hereford Association hosts a field day on June 13 at the Oliver Wallop Canyon Ranch near Sheridan. Activities include a beer judging contest for 4-H and FFA members, talks by industry leaders, and trophies for judges. A registered Hereford heifer will be awarded to the top contest participant. Wyoming Game and Fish Department reports nonresident antelope permits for six areas have been filled. Areas affected include Murona Poison Spider Fremont Pinedale Big Piney Muddy Creeks and Wind River. Nonresident hunters may still apply for other areas by mailing to the Cheyenne office before they sell out. Resident permits go on sale in early August.
