Our townsman James P Jensen enjoyed a surprise birthday gathering last Sunday afternoon from two to four o'clock to celebrate his 82nd birthday which was Friday May 29th. Ninety guests attended including relatives from San Marino Ogden Morcrest Evanston and Reno with refreshments and a large birthday cake enhancing the festive mood.

More than seventy youths attended the Carefree Capers party after the 1964 Graduation Exercises and the 1968 Senior Class events. Weather permitting the Bay Sceoht Court of Venor plans an outdoor Court of Honor Monday June 1964 at the Parl Mays home yard near Black Avenue and Noble Street. The Big Piney Public library invites children to join the summer reading program funded by libraries in Wyoming Utah and Colorado with 115 communities participating. Registration Monday June 15 from 9 to 11 am and 3:30 to 5:30 pm. Tally sheets distributed after registration. Program runs to September 4. Minimum sight books required 6 for lower grades and six for third and fourth. half fiction half nonfiction. Certificates with Joe Back art awarded to those who read minimum. Children urged to join Western Book Trails with peers from Colorado and Utah.
