Commencement Exercises for Big Piney Class of ’18
Commencement exercises for the Class of 18 of Big Piney High School will be held Friday night at Budd Hall. A program includes Lydia Tanner and Leona Lynn as valedictorians candidates, a dance after the program with piano solo, chorus, quartette, and diplomas presented by J B Budd. Baccalaureate sermon set for May 26 at Congregational church by Rev. D D Reese. Class day May 31 at 2:00 pm with colors red and white.

More Boys Drafted in Lincoln County for May 19
Lincoln county records show 75 boys drafted to appear at Kemmerer next Sunday May 19 with Wm Williams and Everett Curtis of Big Piney named among them. Other names exist in the upper country, but staffing limited this issue. full list to be published next week. The draw fills a late quota as Wyoming’s share was previously short, and more names will be drawn on the 26th.

Red Cross Drive To Start With Rodeo
The Red Cross Drive to raise 200 million dollars begins next Monday and runs all week with a Rodeo and Auction Sale at Marbleton to open the drive. Lincoln county residents are urged to contribute to meet the $2500 quota and receive county credit. Reverend Fowkes to East and ordination in Wisconsin
Rev. A Gordon Fowkes who has led St John’s Baptist Mission for a year leaves for Fondulac Wisconsin next week. He will be ordained by Bishop Weller in Wisconsin and celebrate his first high mass at St Bartholow Chicago on June 9. Locals regret his departure. The Liberty Loan town flag for Big Piney was received and flown over the Town hall. A H Simkins of LaBarge has defeated Ivan S Jones of Kemmerer for car running a vehicle without a tank. During a trip to the road he lost his gas tank and drove 12 miles before noticing. Grover Tritipo assisted by picking up the can and delivering it to the owner so the distance was saved. Ivan’s record was 6 miles.
