A remarkable Serpent Mound in Adams County Ohio measures about 1300 feet long and up to four to five feet high, with a wide jaws swallowing an egg motif atop a rocky platform near a creek. The coilled tail and graceful curve suggest ancient serpent worship by Indians, though its exact purpose remains unknown. today the mound is a state park.
