Sublette County Museum Drives Historic Trail Project
The Sublette County Historical Society coordinates with the Forest Service Bureau of Land Management and Reclamation Service to preserve landmarks and graves along the Landers Trail at Piney and other Oregon Trail sites in the Upper Green River area. Eight large markers mark locations with plans for more while the Green River Rendezvous Pageant gains national exposure and funds built from property values and donations support a museum complex in Pinedale. The society seeks IRS guidance on donation deductions and aims to establish a dedicated museum site on about 12 acres donated by Pinedale.
