Allowances and charges for car demurrage and storage begin February 15 1919. Demurrage rates apply after free time: 3.00 per car per day for first four days then 10.00 per day thereafter. storage free time is 48 hours for most commodities with exceptions for inbound freight. Distinct mileage based free time applies for less than carload shipments.
The Soldier Boys announce a masquerade dance on St Patrick's Day at Big Piney hall with a $20 prize to the best costume, orders for suits to Pioneer Drug Store, and Kemmerer music for the event.
Both houses passed house bill 34 and the governor signed it making new legal printing rates effective. Rates are ten cents per line for the first insertion and eight cents per line for each subsequent insertion. City council and county commission proceedings will be ten cents a line now, up from five.
The annual meeting of the Big Piney Roundup Association will be held in the town hall of Big Piney at 2 00 P M on Tuesday in March the 18th. All business coming before the Association will be transacted at this time. John Budd President M E Rathbun Secretary. The C M Sisco family left Tuesday for Arkansas after living in Big Piney for about a year and a half.
The Big Piney High School is taking preliminary steps toward accreditation with hopes of joining the accredited list by the next school year. Community support hinges on funding, more teachers, and better equipment, with President Nelson urging the first two years meet required standards. Mr. and Mrs. Chas Hiles and a daughter visited Piney last weekend.

A journaled town council session in Big Piney reports present L D Tanner Frank Chapel Dan Budd and W C Yose with James P Jenson absent. Bills allowed J W Montrose for professional services during flu epidemic 100.00. A four member committee including Chapel Budd Burney and Bess to meet with assessor Twitcher to fix town property valuation for taxes and next year obligations. Meeting adjourned.
Tuesday noon C P Budd of Marbleton received a telegram reporting his son Dan ill with influenza for weeks. Dan had been at the Sweeney Auto School in Kansas City since the holidays. Cr Lackey left with Mr and Mrs Budd for Kansas City and this morning a telegram said Dan was some better.
Congregational Church holds morning service every other Sunday at 11 o clock and St John Baptist Mission conducts Sunday school at 10 30 A M A cordial welcome extended to all.
