Mayor L D Tanner announces Big Piney business firms should close Friday afternoon April 6 to promote the Third Liberty Loan. The governor calls for statewide observances and continued bond subscriptions as citizens rally for the war effort.
To the People of the Upper Green River Valley. Oscar Beck appointed deputy County Food Administrator and the government will provide information on requirements. Citizens urged to observe food laws and regulations to avoid prosecutions. plea to stamp out Prussianism and uphold free government. Waerey Burch signs as County Food Administrator.
The Ladies Circle of the Come home church will meet at the home of Mrs L D Tanner Friday afternoon April 26 at 21 D.
The Pinedale Minstrel troupe performs at Budd Hall Friday April 26 for the Cross benefit. Children aged 6 to 15 pay 25 cents. A dance and supper by the Red Cap accompany the program. Stage director is W G Hobbe and L Erkennett will present a piece of magic.
Doc Dunham returned from a trip Friday. Swanstrom made a trip and Beturtay met. Mrs Dent of Kansas visiting Hillmont. Mrs Fish left for home after a two week stay. Hildur Swanstrom returned from the river where she taught at Luce school. Mr and Mrs H C Dunham have been on the sick list this week.
Mrs. Jose Swanstrom and daughter Hildur visited Wardell on Wednesday afternoon. Chas. Hewitt is recovering rapidly from a paralytic stroke he has suffered for months. Mrs. Swanstrom and family visited Mr. and Mrs. Porter on the Enos ranth at Daniel. Ellen Swanstrom will teach Merna school this summer. Mayor Tanner arrived from Opal yesterday.
Sealed proposals for 4.87 miles of the Big Piney Road in Lincoln County Wyoming are due by noon May 1 1918. Plans and specs available in Cheyenne and Lincoln County. bids must include 5 percent deposit. Bridges may be bid separately. Proposals read publicly. commission reserves right to reject all bids.
