Saco Troop 4 members completed two phases of an 11 point program by planting three silver leaf Maple trees and three Boston ivy plants along the school brick facing. Robert Moody of Moody Nurseries demonstrated soil care and shrub planting while assistants guided the girls in tree identification and plant care.

Biddeford Men Face Court Trial In June 19
Six Biddeford area men aged 19 to 34 faced municipal court on charges of possessing stolen goods from a Biddeford auto parts store. Conroy Lachance were fined and jailed briefly with probation and restitution. Other defendants received smaller fines and jail terms suspended on restitution. Separately in Washington Hoffa pleaded innocent to assaulting union aide Samuel Baron and the trial was set for June 19. Baron, injured, reported the incident at union headquarters with U.S. marshals guarding at his home.

Saco Receives Federal Funds for Sewer Survey Plans
