Solons To Pay Own Way
Washington AP The House Ethics Committee issued an advisory opinion restricting free rides on campaign travel by congressmen and staff. It says transportation paid by a host carrier should only be accepted if the trip is non political or space available and adds that using public position for a special flight is improper. It allows free transport for non political trips if no extra cost is involved and permits payment in kind for paid speeches.
