St Francis College Commencement to Feature Nearing Address
Author Scott Nearing 92 will deliver the commencement address at St Francis College with Senator Ed Muskie present for remarks. Two honorary degrees, a Doctor of Humane Letters to Nearing and a Doctor of Public Service to William F. Kearns, will be awarded as 130 graduates participate in ceremonies on the library mall and Bay campus.

Biddeford Students to Compete in Maine Special Olympics
The Biddeford Public Schools trainable mentally handicapped classes will join the 1975 Maine Special Olympics in Portland on May 30 and 31. Entrance fees are covered by the Biddeford Federation of Teachers Association. Students will bowl Friday and take part in Saturday events including the one mile run 50 yard dash bread jam and softball throwing. A wine wagon dinner will be provided at midday and bus transportation is sponsored by the Biddeford School Department.

VFEW Honors Past Officers at Kennebunkport Meeting
Past officers of York County Council American Legion posts and auxiliaries were honored at a Saturday night Kennebunkport Memorial Post gathering. Members from Biddeford to Sanford attended as Auxiliary President Grace Corvilliers pinned corsages, pins were shared with past commanders, and a new officer slate was proposed for the coming year.
