Supreme Court splits Lobster War waters between New Hampshire and Maine
The 6-3 ruling uses a tentative agreement to divide about 2,500 acres of disputed lobster grounds near the border granting Maine 630 more acres than the lights-on-range boundary. New Hampshire fishermen call the decision shocking and unfair as they lose access to acres they have worked for decades. Maine and New Hampshire officials tout the settlement as fair.
