Deer Kill In Maine Falls Behind Recent Years
AP dispatch reports the 1963 deer kill in Maine reached 29,821 the lowest since 1945. Vermont at 10,013 and New Brunswick about 8,700 also show declines blamed on warm weather and late snows. New Hampshire totals around 8,000 suggest a herd comeback, while Massachusetts stood at 3,008 versus 2,538 last year.
