Blind nurse regains 20 20 vision via eye bank donors
Esterina Lione, a former Newark, New Jersey nurse, recovered full sight after two corneal transplants from donors collected by the Delaware Valley Eye Bank. Once nearly hermit-like, she now enjoys life with two boy friends and plans to train as a certified eye nurse. Her gradual blindness began a decade ago from keratoconus, culminating in two successful operations around 1961-62 at Hahnemann Hospital and Wills Eye Hospital with support from neighbors the Samuel Wentzels.

Albert F. Bunson nephew of Francis Norwood of 18 Charles St. Saco has enlisted in the United States Army according to Sergeant First Class William J. Rickett local Army Recruiter. He chose the Army’s Choose Your Job Training Program and will train for an administration career field after basic training and a short leave he will be sent to an ane school or receive on the job training in his chosen field.
