Kennebunk Man Elected National Commander of American Legion
Illiam J. Rogers of Kennebunk won the American Legion national command at the 58th convention in Seattle defeating Edward Hoak 2341 to 379. He becomes the first Mainer to hold the post in the 58 year history and plans to focus on Vietnam veteran outreach and a strong membership drive. Rogers announced a UN membership study and will travel extensively during his one year term including a three week tour of Far East military installations. He is a lobbyist for the United States Jewers Association.
