Wide-Eyed Viet Orphans Arrive Safely in Oakland

Eight-year-old Norma Morin and eight-year-old Scott Stebbins from John F Kennedy School Biddeford are among 55 Vietnamese orphans who arrived in Oakland after a 25 hour Pacific flight aboard World Airways DC8. The orphans received sponge baths, medical checks, toys, and bananas apples rice and soy sauce at the San Francisco Presidio before transfer to five buses for the 48 hour wait before potential adoption.
