Peterson Rites Held On Monday
The funeral of Mrs. Betty Louise Peterson of Ramsay was held Monday afternoon from Sharon Lutheran church. Rev. F. E. W. Eastman officiated and interment followed in the local cemetery. Pallbearers included Emil Johnson, John Oman, John Smith, Axel Coleman, Herman Erickson, and John Erickson of Ramsay. Flower carriers were Mrs. Anna Fahler, Mrs. Axel Coleman, Mrs. Ed. Erickson, and Mrs. John Holmquist.

Glenwood Mueller aged 25 son of Adolph Mueller of Ironwood committed suicide at his home Tuesday morning by shooting himself in the chest with a rifle. Despondent over his health, he leaves a widow, his parents, a brother and three sisters.

Watersmeet to vote in primary and caucus shift
Watersmeet township will hold a primary election on April 1 for the first time in years with a two party fight. Local Youth Hendrickson Killed in Railroad Accident
Funeral services were held for Frank Hendrickson 26 a Yale location youth who died Tuesday night at Mercy hospital Oshkosh from injuries after falling from a Chicago Northwestern train. He left home to find work and is survived by parents five sisters and seven brothers with more distant relatives listed. Interment was in Hillrest cemetery after rites at Moore Funeral Home conducted by Rev Jacob Hirvi.

Circuit Court Terminates with $40,000 Award in Fontana Case

The Bessemer school board met Monday evening rehiring all teachers for next year. Leonard Jezek and Francis Quigley were promoted to full time positions at Washington school due to a vacancy from James Halama moving to Puritan as principal. Both had previously taught half time.

Tournament finances show profit for Bessemer High School
Gross receipts from the district basketball tournament in Bessemer totaled 738.00 with 111.54 spent on trophies officials and equipment and 281.25 on costs for competing schools. Net receipts allocated 164.61 to Bessemer High School 60 to the state association and 28.25 to eight visiting schools. Local tournament expenses were 243.85 leaving a profit of 99.56 for Bessemer High School.

The Ironwood Association of Commerce sponsors a 1935 potato growers contest with a $125 appropriation. Open to Gogebic County growers or residents farming nearby, with at least 2 acres. Bessemer board rehired Supt H Dale bohn for three years
The Bessemer township board of education renewed Supt. H. Dale bohn’s contract for three more years. He has served 16 years as head of the township schools. All principals were rehired, including R. E. Heidemann at Ramsay, J. A. Sabina at Anvil, E. A. Crawford at Ing, and James Halama recently appointed. The township school buildings will be reroofed this spring with bids led by a Duluth firm at 14.9 thousand dollars, Archie Chisholm the Bessemer contractor next at 14.516 thousand.
