Death of Mrs Willard Bayliss in Chisholm Minnesota
Mrs. Willard Bayliss a prominent local and state club leader in Chisholm Minnesota died Feb 16 from heart trouble after illness since October. Born Celeste Chamberlain she taught in Wisconsin Ironwood and Kaukauna later moving to Chisholm in 1904 where her husband was Oliver Iron Mining district superintendent. Surviving are five children and three brothers plus a sister. Funeral held Feb 24 at Community church with burial in Chisholm cemetery.

George McKinney Dies Noted Bessemer Resident at 64
George McKinney a prominent Bessemer resident died Monday night at 64 from a complication of diseases. He came to Bessemer 30 years ago to work at the Colby and Ironton mines, later the Corrigan McKinney Steel Co. He retired in 1925 and lived at Sophie and Iron Streets. Survived only by his widow. Funeral Monday at 2:30 from the home with Rev. Malcolm Langley officiating at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers named.

A circuit court jury returned a verdict of no cause for action in favor of Bessemer township after a three day trial. First National Bank of Milwaukee had sought principal and interest on a $7,000 loan from the closed Peoples State Bank. Bank contended the note was taken in good faith. township officials argued funds were not received and the bank failed to cash payroll checks after May 18, 1932.

Pioneer Farmer Otto Reikko Dies North of Here
Otto Reikko, pioneer Ironwood township farmer, died Monday morning at his home north of Bessemer. He was 68, born in Finland. Surviving are his widow and one daughter Mrs George Silakkinen. The funeral was held yesterday.
