Funeral services were held last Thursday in Topeka for Robert G. Reid 77 father of Mrs E J Oas of this city. He died May 30 after a brief illness with heart failure. He is survived by his widow two daughters and five gols.

Bessemer Sets Biannual City Tax Schedule and Fees
Bessemer adopts a biannual tax system effective July 1 with state county and school taxes due December 1. A 1 percent collection fee is added in the first month, plus a 1 percent monthly fee after August 1 and a 3 percent penalty after January 10. Former County Mine Inspector Ferdinand Ohman Dies
Ferdinand C. Ohman Gogebic county mine inspector from 1933 to 1935 died at midnight Sunday at Newport hospital after gallbladder surgery. He was 55 and leaves a widow and three children in Lionwood. Ohman was active in local music as a tenor soloist and directed the Salem Lutheran church choir and the Swedish Glee Club in Ironwood. Celebrate the 4th in Bessemer.
