Bessemer School Board Proceedings December 1963 Meeting
The Bessemer Board of Education met at A. D. Johnston High School on December 9 1963 with all members present. Officers approved minutes from November meetings, funded water coolers at Washington School, allowed tax monies to short term CDs, formed a committee on shop requirements, transferred defunct Business Club funds to Athletic Fund, and approved multiple vendor bills. A mass Massie Field study and staff employment, a school reorganization feasibility study, and legal action over gym lighting were discussed. meeting adjourned with secretary Wayne Borseth.
