Mrs Andrew Satterlund 63 mother of David and Arthur Satterlund of Besse was found dead Saturday morning at her Ironwood home. Born March 1 1874 in Marquette she had lived in Ironwood 45 years. She left a husband and nine children. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon in Ironwood.

Albino Deer Among Unusual 1837 Season Kills
Two albinos were among the deer killed in the 1837 season reported by the department of conservation. One near Crystal Falls yielded an almost all white buck with pink eyes, another near Atlanta had white fore legs and pink hooves. A large, aged buck sent to Lansing showed extreme age and worn teeth.

Escanaba Opens City Owned Central Heating Plant
Escanaba, a 15 000 population city in the Upper Peninsula, has activated the first municipally owned central heating plant in the region. The Sherman hotel on Ludington street is the first building steam serviced, with the Michigan liquor control commission offices nearby to be connected, and more lines expected soon. The city already operates gas, electric and water utilities and Mayor George E. Bean notes the plant may boost city revenue while reducing downtown smoke.
