Miss GI Sealy daughter of Mr and Mrs Earl E Sealy of Hurley became the bride of William S Baird in a double ring ceremony at 3 oclock Wednesday afternoon August 16 at the home of the brides parents. Rev C L Harries of Harney Presbyterian church read the service. The bride wore a floor length gown of white steel marquis with white velvet and a fingertip veil, carrying a bouquet of roses sweet peas and baby breath. Her sister and matron of honor Mrs Robert J Simpson of Portage Wis wore white dotted swiss trimmed in blue with a bouquet of roses sweet peas and bachelor buttons. Reuben W Johnson of Bessemer attended the groom. A wedding dinner was served to 25 guests at the St James hotel Ironwood. Out of town guests included Mrs W S Baird Sr Miss Margaret Wermerskirch Mr and Mrs Reuben W Johnson of Bessemer Mr and Mrs A Q Randall of Rosendale Wis Mrs Maude Leichman of Tarcheedah Wis Mr and Mrs Robert J Simpson of Portage Wis. The couple will reside after August 25 at 407 E Mary St Bessemer. Mr Baird is a well known attorney. Mrs Baird has been an instructor in the Idaho school for the deaf and blind at Gooding.

Accidents Claim Several in Ironwood Area
William E. Aili a former Ironwood township clerk drowned Saturday morning at a county park lake. He was 38 and with his wife and three children. Philip H. Larivere, 28, of Ironwood, died in a car crash near Bayfield when a tire blew out. A hit and run left Mike Poremski, 32, of Bessemer, injured at Moore and Sellar streets. he walked home then sought hospital care for a back injury.

Labor Day Ends Trout Fishing In Michigan Waters
Fishermen have less than two weeks to fish Michigan trout waters, with creels snapped shut by Labor Day September 4. Save Trees Along Michigan Roads
