Last rites held for Mrs Telmine in Bessemer
Mrs. Charles Selmini of Tilden died at 7 30 p m last Thursday in Milwaukee St Josephs hospital after two months of ill health. Born in Bessemer September 6 1893 she lived here all her life. Survived by husband five grandchildren and five children J K Carr Mrs Clarence Brydges among others. Funeral Monday at St Sebastian s church with burial in Hillcrest cemetery. Pallbearers listed from Bessemer Hurley Ironwood Park Falls Ely and St Cloud Minn.

Bride wore white palm beach suit with navy accessories and pink rose corsage. Attendants included sister Mrs Louis Peterman Jr of Muskegon and brother Al Blaszak. Reception at Moose Hall West Allis with about 150 guests. Honeymoon at Niagara Falls and Canada. Both plan to reside in West Allis. Osmose Wood Preserving to Open Bessemer Plant
The Bessemer Chamber of Commerce announces Osmose Wood Preserving Co of Buffalo will activate a 10 acre plant on the southern city edge near Tilden road. The process treats timber with a preservative solution to prolong life and resist termites, weather, and fungi. Plant to begin operation in about six weeks, employing 6-10 workers under manager Jack Storer, a Penn State forestry graduate.

The class of 1935 of the A. D. Johnston high school will hold a reunion at the American Legion clubrooms on September 2. James Proctor Rites Held Here Thursday
Funeral services for James Proctor 64 who died at the University of Michigan hospital were held Thursday afternoon at the Presbyterian church. The service included Masonic rites with officers and honorary pallbearers from the Oliver Iron Mining Co and Bessemer volunteer fire department. Burial was in Hillcrest cemetery with private family services earlier that day. Relatives from several cities attended and guests from Michigan and Wisconsin were noted.

Puritan Matron Mrs Freeman Dies After Cancer Battle
Mrs Charles Freeman of Puritan dies Friday at 2:45 am en route to Grand View hospital after 14 months of cancer treatment. A Finland native born January 28 1896 she lived in Puritan since 1913 and was 54. She leaves two sons T Martin Freeman and Paul Freeman and a daughter Willow plus a brother Jack Johnson and two Finland sisters. Interment at Hillcrest cemetery with pallbearers Eino Vesa Uno Koski and others.
