Big Contract For Crystal Falls Man In Pennsylvania Turnpike Work

Miss Katherine Irene Donich, 37, died Saturday morning in San Francisco where she had lived six years with sister Julia Donich. Born May 12, 1902 in Bessemer, she was a 1919 Bessemer High School graduate and studied at Northern State Teachers College Marquette and St Theresa College Winona. Survived by father Michael Donich Sr and siblings Anna Buchko Mary Donich Julia Donich and brother Dr Michael Donich of Detroit. Dr and Mrs Donich have been visiting.

A string of accidents claimed several lives and injuries across the Ironwood region. Harold Jacquart, nine, drowned at Norrie park beach on the Montreal River. William Messinen, 32, of Newport died from injuries after a car crash on Black River road. Ernest Korpi, 50, fatally injured by a fall of ground at the Montreal mine. John Harri, 59, died from crushing injuries while wrecking a log building in Ironwood. Mrs. Jonas Rinta, 49, died after a fall from a hay load near Saxon.
