The Boston Symphony Orchestra announced a new 2 p.m. start for Friday afternoon concerts to help subscribers avoid Friday evening rush hours. Evening and Sunday programs remain at 8:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. respectively.
Jason Robards Jr. will portray Abe Lincoln in Robert E. Sherwood's Abe Lincoln in Illinois on NBC Hallmark Hall of Fame next February. The 90 minute color special marks his first Lincoln portrayal, previously made famous by Raymond Massey in the 1939 stage and later film versions.
