WAST TV considers translator to boost Berkshire signal
WAST-TV Channel 13 may build a translator station in the Pittsfield area to improve reception as Berkshire Hills interfere with the signal. Channel 19 on Greylock remains at low power during transmitter upgrades. Channel 18 may offer a workaround for viewers when Channel 16 is weak. Channel 13 viewers with poor reception should write to Michael Artist, Promotion Director, WAST-TV, Albany. The piece also discusses The Danny Thomas Show and shifts in The Beverly Hillbillies spinoff Petticoat Junction with Bea Benaderet.

The Wrong Arm of the Law film review in British Lion release
The reviewer describes a London Keystone Kops spoof featuring Peter the Great clashing with interlopers over a larceny franchise. Fast dialogue and sight gags abound, with frequent laughter and a mixed personal verdict. Ner vous O'Toole stands out for his anxious tie as a memorable crook.

Bridge bidding humor and a four spades question
A bridge column humor piece notes a chaotic auction where South doubles, North should double four hearts, and the players mock poor bidding. It recounts a hand where tricks and alimony quips dominate, ending with the advised response to partner's opening and the strategy of stepping to spade at the right moment.
