Apartment Owners May Rent Westinghouse Appliances
Westinghouse Electric announces a plan allowing owners and operators of apartment houses to rent its refrigerators ranges air conditioners dishwashers freezers washers and dryers. The program tests in New York Washington Chicago San Francisco and Los Angeles with leases from two to five years and graduated charges based on the number of appliances and contract length. W E Slabaugh says over 200 million dollars is tied up yearly in apartment appliance purchases.
