Pittsfield Board Size Fight Sparks Education Debate
Peter G. Arlos, president of the Pittsfield Democratic Club, applauds the School Committee for opposing a City Council proposed 11 member board and pushes for a five member at large panel. He cites educators Conant and Fine favoring small at large committees as the state legislature weighs plans that voters may decide in November.
