The project plans include closing the rear loading dock for mail trucks, adding and upgrading electrical and heating systems, relocating the postmaster's office, and expanding workroom space by occupying about one third of the current lobby arena. This improvement is tied to Williams and associated funding.
The contractor plans start next month on a 33 year old college building, with a six month completion target. Raymond warned of unavoidable construction inconveniences during the project and emphasized the impact on campus mail boxes, now unused by 88,175 students.
