Council Puts Off Action On Streamlining Sessions
The City Council postponed action on proposals to streamline sessions to next year. Members sparred over licensing and damage claims authority while Rice's committee ideas to revise procedures drew mixed support. The council approved year end transfers, Head Start funding, and asked Planning Board for zoning input on nursing homes and apartments. They tabled overnight street parking and granted initial approval to an ordinance to remove cars blocking snow plows.
