Benson High School undertakes extensive upgrades this year. Principal H Q Robertson and staff push continuous improvements with new equipment, grounds cleanup for baseball and tennis, and upgraded machinery led by H d Haynes. Manual Training adds a combined woodworking machine and line shaft for efficiency. An exhibit of the Arizona Silver Service for the battleship Arizona will travel from Oct 23 to 28, staged at the Steinfeld store in Tucson for viewing by southern visitors. New Picture Theater To Open On Main Street
A new moving picture theater is expected to open on or about Saturday November 4 by Mr. Elias Summers. It will be located on Main Street in a good building and will supply an amusement need that has been lacking for a good while past. The new machinery and appliances have been ordered and are expected at any time. Shows will be given three times a week and the proprietor promises to give a good up to date show.
