Subscriptions allocated to regions roughly by Treasury quotas, with local group subscriptions handled by the operating company. St David Students Defeat Pomerene 37 to 7 in Junior Game
Seventh and eighth grade boys from St David School beat Pomerene 37 to 7 after a bus trip with lunch at Boquillas tank. On the return four blowouts occurred and a trailer rod broke. Frank Lopez accidentally shot off a finger while hunting. his hand is recovering.

Child Severely Injured in Mowing Machine Incident
In Pomerene on a Saturday afternoon Jos Scott's three year old daughter crawled into tall grass while he operated a mowing machine. She nearly had both legs severed before being found and rushed to town. Dr Morrison treated her and now hopes to save both legs.

Telegraphic reports from New York City say Captain J C Greenway general manager of the Calumet and Arizona Copper Co has joined the United States Army engineer corps with the rank of major and expects to sail soon for France. He plans a trip to the Warren district before sailing and had sought a place on the Roosevelt expedition staff.
