Two squadrons of the First Cavalry and a large Motor Transport Corps contingent, led by Colonel W C Rivers, camped near Benson as they test motor trucks for cavalry transport. Soldier Killed by Fall Under Motor Truck Near St David
Enlisted man Harry B. Van Natter of the Motor Transport Corps accompanying cavalry troops on a practice march was killed when he fell under the rear wheels of a moving army truck near St. David. He reportedly tried to jump from one truck to another, missed his footing, and was crushed. The body went to Douglas and then to Granite Falls, Washington, where his parents live.

Mystery Plane Over Town Solved By Troop Mail Flight
A plane observed circling above town last week was clarified when troops from Douglas arrived on Saturday and received mail with sealed orders. The same plane reconfirmed the operation on Monday, dropping mail sacks without landing. Bluford Greenwood Plans Improvements on Nogales Homestead
