Death of Mrs S T Mayhew
Mrs S T Mayhew died last Tuesday evening at the residence of Mrs S L Schwab after a short illness with pneumonia at age 71. She was aunt and foster mother of Mrs Schwab and Mrs W C Parker of Savannah and had moved from that city to Benson last April. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the residence led by Rev H K Middleton and burial followed in the local cemetery. She had been widowed for years and was a writer for Harpers and other magazines.
