Georgia delegate Charles S. Barrett tells the national industrial congress that farmers already have an eight hour day, claiming they invented it with a split schedule: eight hours before noon and eight hours after noon.

Cavalry Troops Arrive With 95 Trucks and Camp Equipment

About 400 men from the 8th and 12th Cavalry at Douglas under Col W C Rivers are due this afternoon to bivouac west of the Cosby place. The force includes 95 motor trucks and a heavy tractor. Detachments test the trucks on a march toward Cascabel then toward Tucson. Officers with the command include Lieut Cols R J Reany Winna and John Cocke.

No Assessment Work Exemption For 1919 Mining Claims

Congress by joint resolution exempts all mining claims from assessment work during 1919 and awaits presidential signature. To gain the benefit filers must file location notices or certify recording in the Recorder’s office on or before December 31, 1919.

A Mrs. 4. W. Phillips of Redon Georgia phoned J. M. Floyd a merchant about Cham berlain's Cough Remedy. She said she bought a bottle at his store recently and it was helping her children so she wanted to continue. The note extols the product as best for coughs and colds in children and adults, claiming it loosens the cough and eases expectoration.
