High School Building Sold by the State
The High School building in Tombstone was sold at public auction to the Benson High School Board for the minimum bid of 500 dollars. The sale included the stone building, smaller structures, pumping plant, about forty acres of land, and town lots. Attending were H. W. Etz as chair, M. P. Cosby, IL. T. Coons, and H. Q. Robertson, the school principal.

Death of Pioneer Samuel Hughes in Tucson at 88

The preliminary trial of Jackson S. Ward and his son Buford Ward on the charge of assault with intent to kill Mark C. Turney last December was held Friday in the Pima county superior court at Tucson. Fire Destroys Home of St. David Man
The Miller family home about two miles beyond St. David burned last Sunday night after a lamp left burning reportedly exploded. Harold Miller, 16, awoke to flames and escaped in his night clothes. Total loss valued at about 4000 dollars with no insurance. Over 200 in currency and heirlooms destroyed. some coins melted together by heat. The family has temporary quarters and will rebuild on the site.
