The tent services continue with prophetic themes drawn from Revelation. Topics for the coming week include Soul and Spirit, Is Man Immortal, Where Are the Dead, Will the Wicked Burn Forever, and Spiritualism. A cordial invitation is extended to all to attend.
St David held a large Fourth of July celebration featuring patriotic songs addresses a barbecue bronco busting and outdoor sports. A baseball game saw Benson lose 26 to 6 to St David with Benson blaming early runs on a weak first pitcher. A successful evening dance drew many attendees. The Pleasures of Motoring party led by Mr. H. W. Etz and Judge Shilliam traveled to Bisbee and Tombstone, but a mud filled wash near St. David halted their car. C. L. Rucker in back was delayed by the stalled vehicle, forcing an overnight camp. the party walked in while the younger travelers stayed in the car and reached camp Monday morning.
The Hercules Trophy marksman competition begins tomorrow at 3 p.m. on the range near the High School grounds. The event offers a medal from Hercules Powder Company for the best sharpshooter and aims to build on the club's growing marksmanship. The club expects strong participation on opening day.
