John Irwin Appointed Registrar of Phoenix Land Office
The President appointed John Irwin as registrar of the Federal Land Office in Phoenix succeeding the late Thomas F. Weedin. Bootleg Whiskey Ring Busted Near Town
Constable John Proffitt halted a traveling bootlegger named J. J. Spencer from Lordsburg New Mexico. Twenty two cases of whisky in a Jeffrey Six were seized and the car contents confined for disposition. Spencer posted $100 bail and was rearrested by Deputy A W Howe for trial Monday.
