Centre at Hoosick seeks annexation for shopping center
Hoosick Falls officials heard a formal petition Tuesday night for annexing 12.48 acres of town land to the village to allow a 40,000 square foot shopping center. The developers cited water and sewer integration as reasons for the move while residents raised complaints of rusty water and possible pollution of village sewer lines by industrial acid. Ralph Helft and Walter F. Uccellini presented the annexation request and the developers said joining the village system would improve utility access.
