Adventist editor opposes social gospel politics

Washington based Seventh day Adventist editor Kenneth H. Wood denounces churches that push political or social agendas, arguing the church’s core mission is to preach the gospel. He cites risks of division and shrinking memberships, urges separation of church and state, and questions reliance on political activism to solve world problems. He notes the church’s humanitarian programs but says true hope lies in Christ’s return and Bible truth.
