Sweden Plans Comforts For Prisoners
Sweden will allow long term inmates to bring families to jail with them on a limited experimental basis in two smaller prisons. Torsten Eriksson, head of the prison board, said the plan aims to ease prison life and follows debates triggered by reports of sexual divergency in Swedish prisons. In one facility wives and fiances may stay a few days, while in the other wives and children may remain for the prisoner’s entire term.
