Bemis Forslund Pie Race Returns To Valley Course
The Bemis-Forslund Pie Race at Mount Hermon features women runners since 1971, with top finishers winning medals funded by Gladys Forslund. In 1975 a record 250 participated. 146 won pies. The course winds through Gill, Northfield, and Bernardston with famed hills and a finish climb known as Irwin's Heartbreak Hill.
