Manchester Village holds final zoning hearing on bylaw draft
Manchester village residents and about 40 villagers reviewed sections four through nine of the proposed zoning bylaw in a two and a half hour session led by Commission President Foster R. Clement. An amendment added to Section Six permits uses in a commercial district contiguous to residential areas. Controversy centered on the prohibition of ski areas and appurtenances, with residents arguing the term is too broad and could bar cross country facilities. The hearing also included questions on mobile homes, open space dedication, and parking limits, with officials promising review and possible amendments before the bylaw moves forward.
