Night Coon Hunt Ends With Dog Muffins and Killed Coons
In Bennington’s backwoods George King and John LaFountain join a night hunt with Muffins the coon hound. After tracking through Wilmington’s spruce groves, Muffins trees three coons in one outing, and George shoots one eye-shot while Muffins retrieves the quarry. The group returns to Jesse’s house with the three coons, Muffins tired but proud, and George notes the dog’s honesty.
