Bennington County Aims First Regional Plan Emphasizing Environment
Bennington County may become Vermont’s first to compile and approve a regional plan. The Bennington County Regional Planning Commission voted to hold a public hearing at 7 30 p m on Thursday Dec 18 at the Arlington Town Hall, with formal approval following hearings. The plan, prepared by Technical Planning Associates of New Haven Conn, surveys county resources and proposes land use and development guidelines to protect the environment as growth reaches an expected 43 000 residents by 2000.
