Editor accuses NET of deleting hawk segment on antiwar film
Bernard J. McQuaid editor of the Manchester Union Leader says a NET BBC antiwar documentary cut his scene criticizing protesters to add more footage of peace rallies. He plans to contact Vice President Agnew over the deletion, alleging a biased edit and political pressure. The BBC film, made in New Hampshire, aired in Britain Nov. 10 and Sunday on NET was shortened to remove his view. He urged Agnew to scrutinize educational networks like NET. McQuaid opposed any Vietnam ceasefire that did not shield South Vietnam from Communist aggression.
