Vermont to host three regional workshops on women’s employment
The Vermont Governor's Commission on the Status of Women and the Department of Employment Security sponsor three June regional consultations for area businesses. Executive director Constance Kite and field coordinator Margaret Murray outline aims to reduce non conscious discrimination and tailor sound personnel plans. Over 300 employers and thousands of employed women are expected to benefit, with sessions in Burlington Montpelier and Brattleboro and registration details provided.

Susan Rabbit Goody will perform sea shanties at the Park McCullough House in North Bennington on Wednesday May 28 at 730 p m. She will accompany herself on the concertina and sing traditional sailor songs. Goody’s background includes Mystic Seaport work as a shantyman apprentice and school programs, plus studies at Bennington College and an effort to collect New England fishing songs. The Woman's Auxiliary to the Vermont State Medical Society held its annual meeting at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal. Mrs. D. Dexter Davis of Bennington presided, Mrs. Richard L. Lipson of Burlington was elected president for 1975 76, and Mrs. Edward C. Andrews gave the luncheon remarks.
