Vermont State Colleges OK 4.1 Million Operating Budget
The Vermont State Colleges board approved a 4.1 million dollar operating budget for the four schools for the coming year at a Vermont Technical College meeting. Provost Dr. Robert Babcock called the budget very tight with almost no contingencies and urged a moratorium on new buildings until funding is resolved. If two proposed 200 room dorms go ahead, room and board rates would rise, increasing education costs for students.
