Best Way To Fight Communism Through Art, Says Vietnamese Musician

Pham Duy Con, a Vietnamese composer and singer, visits Petersburg as part of a U.S. State Department cultural exchange. He argues fighting communism should be through the mind and art, not military force, praising folk music and cross cultural understanding. He has met officials, performed with local folk artists, and plans two hours of recordings to take home. He will join Ed Sullivan TV show in New York before a West Coast visit and return to Vietnam.
