Bennington reminiscence recalls homes and streets
Former Bennington resident Ada Merrill reflects on 1890s town photos in The Banner April 27, linking landmarks on Main and Silver Streets, the library, Ritchie block, and several homes. She recalls the grand old buildings, the town clock, the Opera House, and memories from school days to early colonial sites. An additional note mentions Berry Mountain azalea displays near Berry Pond peak in early June, tied to Civilian Conservation Corps history.
