New Old Country Store in Dorset Opens Memorial Day Weekend
Dorset residents can visit the new Old Country Store on Vermont 30 opened by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Petermann. Though officially opening Memorial Day weekend, it has welcomed visitors since May first with a greenhouse bloom. The shop features antiques, jams, Vermont maple syrup, home made bread, and a striking range of curiosities from a gun collection to a butterfly display, with emphasis on friendly chat over promotion. The Petermanns relocated from West Townshend, bringing their eclectic stock from the old barn style store.
